Colors of the shirts

So I'm 95% on the design for the tshirts but am 50/50 on the colors. So I gotta leave it to a vote. Should I do a royal blue shirt with lime green lettering (headstrong colors basically) or yellow shirt with blue writing?

Foursomes

I need foursomes. Soon I'll start figuring out the cost and let you guys know so you can start sending me money like last year b/c I put a deposit on the golf on my credit card. But I have people telling me that they are coming but that really doesn't mean much when you don't have a foursome. "I will only rebook your group if you speak to them first and agree to have better conduct and etiquette on the golf course, last year there were some vodka bottles taken out on the course and some issue's with groups running around with the flags and doubling up and playing as eightsome's, I cannot allow this to happen again, I have a business to run and our regular customer base deserves to play at a decent pace and not see disruptive behavior. HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! This is what the guy who runs the outings just sent me in an email. I KNEW I SHOULD'VE CHANGED THE NAME OF THE OUTING! Rookie mistake on my part. So all of you guys who were fucking around last year like assholes, that shit has to stop! hahah Okay okay okay, I know 99% of it was probably me but this year we gotta be a shit load better (golf etiquette wise) than last year if we want to be able to have this as an annual thing. I literally almost spit up my drink as I read the email from him just now. Too funny. And I felt like replying back with, eightsomes sir? No I don't think so, it was more like an eighteensome!!

On a lax note, big win by Hofstra today, need Drexel to win and then next saturday night will be an awesome game vs Towson and tailgate.

Spinning Tee Off

This is some of the shit that will be going on at the Dutch Dome Open this year. I tested some stuff out this past weekend for my brother's bachelor party and this was a huge success, everyone did it but here's a video of me doing the spinning tee off where you chug your beer, spin around 5 times or 10 whichever the bet is and then tee off within 5 seconds. Great stuff.

Scoring System for the Outing?

So the plan for last year was to have the best overall score (each foursome was a team) receive a prize at the end of the outing, but it only took 3 holes for people to not care about that and stopped keeping score. There are a number of ways we can do the scoring but I suggest best ball because it took us 8 hours to finish the round last year with everyone playing their own ball. Once again, last year was such a shitshow that we took our sweet ass time to finish the round. It also didn't help that I was trying to tackle people while they were shooting either. Also, if we play best ball, Patrick Miller won't make me take a shot on every other hole and I will be able to finish this year's round which is a goal for me. The other scoring we can do is the team avg score. That means that everyone plays their own ball and at the end of the hole, you add up all your foursome's scores and average them together. Or we can do no score at all like last year. Well, anyway, vote on which system you would want to do. My vote is for best ball to put some competition in this outing but we'll see what happens. Vote now bitches!

CHANGES TO THIS YEAR'S OUTING

So the date has changed to the next saturday, July 31st and I am looking into what to do after we're done golfing. Last year we went to Sutton Place and got a great deal, b/c my landlord co-owned the bar, but I don't live in LB anymore so I don't think I'll get the same deal which would increase the cost, which I don't want. So as of now we are setting up a BBQ at Gorman's house in LB. We'll get a couple kegs, burgers, hot dogs, chicken, all that good shit and then hit up the bars after. It's better because of a couple reasons. First, it saves us money and gives me a better chance of making the cost $100 even with the $75 golf fee that Lido has for 2010, which is crap but have to deal with it. Secondly, we can walk to the beech st bars from Gorman's house. Thirdly, it saves us money. So everyone change your calendars, the new date is JULY 31st!!

the date has to change for the outing. Lido can't do july 24th. I'll figure out another date as soon as possible and let everyone know. Unless we went to a different course for the outing, but I'll figure it out. Check back for an update soon.

Peter Dante at the Dutch Dome Open?!?

I highly doubt it but I mean c'mon how awesome would that be? I need to talk to his agent now! Moyer and Chris played in an LXM game this past weekend in Texas and Dante was the celebrity coach of one of the teams. I don't know if all of you know it but he was a former Hofstra Lacrosse player who left school early to pursue his acting career. I'm gonna say that was a smart decision because now he is in all of Adam Sandler's movies and was easily the best character in Grandma's Boy. So I mean it only makes sense for him to come right? I have moyer and chris on it right now, if he doesn't come it is 98% moyer's fault and about 2% of chris' fault. The dude is hilarious and would love this golf outing. Just imagine at the end of the round, all of us sauced up, and taking a group picture with Peter Dante in the middle. I mean talk about a picture for the ages, that would be unreal. Now as I say all of this I'm pretty sure there is 0% chance of him coming to this but can't hurt to dream.

This past weekend was a huge hit for the Dutch Dome Open. I really should get business cards made up because everyone wants to know when the outing is and what the website is. I guess people actually read this thing. I'm gonna say its mostly for the pictures that I post up but still. I had people asking me all about it this past weekend and got another 3 or 4 foursomes that saying they are playing this year. Now the big word there is that these people are "saying" they are going to play. Trying to plan something is a bitch but trying to plan something with Hofstra Lacrosse players is nearly impossible. With the growing interest of the outing increasing I have to say I don't know about a shotgun start because that would mean we'd have to tee off early. I couldn't last past 10:30pm last year after drinking all day and I only started around noon. I'm thinking I might rather have the 1st group tee off around 12:30 and then every other group tee off after that. Idk we'll see though. I'll keep everyone updated. Big win this past weekend for Hofstra as they got the 1st win ever at the new meadowlands stadium. No one can ever take that away from the program that's for sure. Keep spreading the word!

So last year got all screwed up because the groups that finished went right to the bar and messed things up b/c they went earlier than everyone else and the open bar didn't start until I got there. So this year my group is going first or close to 1st because I'm gonna make sure everyone waits in the parking lot for everyone to finish while we finish off the rest of the beers. Let's get those foursomes together!

Someone at Hofstra really needs to win the lotto or something so we can get Hooters girls to join our outing. I mean just look at these pictures, this would be an unbelievable golf tournament. Unterstein's get Metzger to look into this, he's the closest thing we got to getting this done!

Big City Classic Saturday

So Hofstra has a big game this weekend at the New Meadowlands stadium. A couple of us are heading there to tailgate and watch the game if anyone is interested just gimme a call. If anyone is on the team right now and reading this, good luck this weekend.

As for the outing, it's official there will be a foursome consisted of the Unterstein brothers. That increases the chances of someone else besides myself blacking out by A LOT! Also that increases the chances that there will be a fight later that night but that's another story. I know 100% that Mike will be ready to battle anyone in a dancing contest at 99 delaware after the outing, just make sure you have about 7 redbulls to be able to match Mike's energy haha.

No other update other than that but I'm trying to see if this chick is available for July 24th to drive me around in that golf cart of hers:

We know the kid is sick at lacrosse, but let's see him play 18 holes at the dutch dome open! Young guns, get on him to play. Do they even have golf in canada? I think the Canadian government will erase you from the system if you want to play a sport other than hockey or lacrosse.

As for the outing, I'm hearing some good things lately. Everyone seems to be talking about it and pumped to play. The more people we have the better it is and if I can get 72-80 people that would be awesome. That would mean that we could do a shotgun start and would own the entire course. I'm gonna talk to Lido this weekend to make sure that date is available and to see if we are allowed back and weren't red flagged or something on their computer. Whatever, if a course can't handle 18 guys teeing off at the same time then I don't want to play on it! Get your foursomes together and let me know who's in them. The sooner the better.
